Mahendra holds Masterss Degree in Product Design from IDC, IIT Bombay and has over 27 years of experience in leading strategic research & development, product / user experience design & product innovation programs in various industries including consumer products, industrial systems and healthcare. I have an educational background in Engineering (BE-Mech), Industrial Design (IDC) and Management (IIMbangalore- EGMP). I am with Tata Elxsi since 1997 and one of the founder members of the design practice there. In tata Elxsi, I am leading a team of 100+ designers & delivering design projects in UX, Branding, Graphics, new Technologies (AR/VR), Service Design & Consumer Research. Most projects are for international clients. My role includes sales as well as delivery responsibility
UX projects include consumer products, B2B products & Automotive products on various platforms like mobile responsive, TV (including remote), Cars (Multi-modal HMI), Appliances, AR, Immersive and PC. Projects have ranged from future UIs (yr 2025), pitches, production, maintenance, multi-device porting, etc. All projects have significant design overlaps with development, including projects done in Agile environments.
Service Design projects focus on spaces and processes. These include experience design for Showrooms, Airports & Metros. Design of signage systems for mass-transit systems, Hotels, Education Campuses & factories. Creation of customer experience centres that combine space design along with technology, UX and Content creation. Other works include design of Heritage walks, Sales processes, Wine tours, etc.
Consumer Research team focusses on end user empathy. Projects range from trend prediction to ethnographic research in various geographies and for various industries. Research component is present for most of the UX and service design projects.
I have spoken in various forums (Car-HMI conference Berlin '16, Brand2Global conference London '15 , multiple CII, FICCI, Nascom events,) and conducted design workshops and been a jury in various educational institutes, like IITs, Srishti, etc.
My current role requires me to travel across the world to solicit business and to present our design. Earlier in my career, I have spent multiple years 'onsite' in Europe, USA and Japan

An Industrial Designer from the National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad, India, Ashish started his design entrepreneurship journey, 28 years ago, by co-founding India's pioneering design practice, Elephant.

Prof Prakash V Unakal has Masters in Design (Industrial Design) from Industrial Design Centre, I I T Mumbai, with B.Tech (Mechanical Engg.) from N I T, Calicut. He has over 20 years of experience - 13 yrs in Industry and 8 yrs as academician. His area of expertise are in product design, development and management. He has credit of designing numerous consumer products as Industrial designer. His research areas of interest are innovation, new product design and development, new opportunity identification, creativity, strategic design, consumer behavior and emotion and design management.
Samrat Nawle specialises in experience design, innovation strategy, trend analysis and design management. He is currently Principal Designer at Samsung R&D Bangalore where he co-leads the UX design practice and has been instrumental in bringing-to-market several innovative products and services such as the revolutionary fin-tech solution 'Samsung Pay' and the ultra-low cost 'Z' series smartphones.
Additionally, as panel member on Samsung's strategic Make for India Task Force he facilitates the creation of disruptive solutions for the Indian market - which include the Bike Mode, Quick Talk, Ultra Data Saving Mode and Special Days. He has also co-architected the Tizen Mobile UX and designed India's first Smart TV App ecosystem. He was selected for the prestigious Samsung Global Mobility Program and worked with the Design Lab in Korea for a year.
Prior to Samsung, he has worked as a Center of Excellence Lead with Human Factors International handling projects across Asia and North America, and before that as an Automobile Designer with the Reva Electric Car Co. (now Mahindra Electric) where he single-handedly re-designed the export version of the Reva, a fuel-cell powered prototype vehicle, and a first-of-its-kind (in 2004) fully graphic in-vehicle display system.
He has received several awards including the ICSID'97 Award of Excellence for project 'Mandala' which was sponsored by Apple Computer Inc., the Zinnov Innovation Award 2015 for 'Design Thinking led Product Innovation' for Tizen Z-series smartphones, and the EVS 21 Monte Carlo Sustainable Mobility Award 2005 for the Reva NXG concept car.
He holds several patents and has authored publications which have been published by CHI. He was a speaker at the Tizen Developer Summit 2015 where he introduced the new UX design philosophy for Tizen smartphones.

Vasant Dewaji graduated from the national institute of design in
1992, after completing his engineering. He has worked for over 20
years in area of consumer design in the product and retail space
across categories like travel goods and accessories, elevators,
watches, white goods and bicycles.

design and development at VIP Industries Ltd. He also takes out
time each year to teach at design schools in India.

Chetan Sorab is currently the head of design for home electronic products at LG Electronics India Pvt. ltd. He is an industrial designer with 13 years of rich industry experience in automotive and electronic industries. He graduated in mechanical engineering and went on to do his post graduation in Product Design from the prestigious National Institute of Design.
He has been consistently delivering successful products under the LG brand with strategic inputs in new product development and design innovation. He is also a jury member and faculty for some of the leading design schools in India. His interests are in strategic design and design for emerging markets.

Harsh Manrao, an architect with over fifteen years of experience in design & architecture, has learnt the craft by working with his mentors, Christopher Benninger & Endo Shuhei. He has led multi-disciplinary & multi-cultural design and research teams in India and Japan.

After working on various projects at Toyota - including the post of Executive Vice President of the Calty Design Research Inc. in California, Hideichi Misono headed the company's luxury lines, including Lexus. From 2001, as Senior General Manager of the Design Center, Misono supervised all Toyota design group and was instrumental in establishing Toyota's design philosophy.
In 2004, he was positioned President & CEO of Tecno Art Research Co. Ltd., an affiliate of Toyota's design group. From 2013 to June 2014, Advisor of the company.
He is now supporting overall activities of Toyota Shanghai Design Center as a consultant. Pradyumna Vyas acquired a Masters in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
In June 2010, Vyas was conferred with an honorary Master of Arts degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, United Kingdom in recognition of his contributions to design education and design promotion.
Vyas has more than 33 years of professional and teaching experience in different spheres of design. Since the last 27 years, he has been associated with the National Institute of Design (NID) as a faculty in the Industrial Design discipline. In April 2009, he was appointed as the Director of the National Institute of Design.
Prior to joining NID, Vyas acquired three years overseas experience at the Kilkenny Design Centre, Republic of Ireland.
In July 2011, Vyas was given the award for his outstanding contribution to design education at Asia's Best School Award that was held at Singapore.
Vyas was invited as the jury member for the special awards screening panel at Good Design Award (G-Mark) by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, Japan consequently in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
He has been at the helm of design promotion events in India and has represented NID in various international and national events. He was elected as an ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) Executive Board Member for 2009-11.
In pursuance of the National Design Policy approved by the Cabinet in February 2007, an India Design Council was constituted in March 2009 and Mr Vyas has been nominated as its Member Secretary by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
In July 2015, World Education Congress, 2015 conferred the award for Outstanding Contribution to Education to Mr. Vyas.
In March 2016, Mr Vyas was honoured with the 'Lifetime Achievement Award - Design, 2016' at the first 'India UX Design Awards' for the contribution towards the designing community and his pioneering efforts in the field of design education and design promotion.
In May 2017, Mr Vyas received an award for his contribution towards design education during the Edutainment Awards 2017 held in Mumbai, which is a joint effort of Times of India, Businessworld and Event Capital, provides a platform to celebrate broader Indian talent canvas.

In 2009 he was invited to participate in a specially curated exhibition at Helsinki “ called Ecologycal Chair”, amongst 20 top designers around the world.
Apart from an extensive career spanning more than three decades, Shrikant is associated with various educational and professional associations in different capacities. He has been a member of the governing council of national institute of design between 2009-2011.
Currently he is a member of the governing council of College of Architecture- Trivandrum, Rachana Sansad- Mumbai, Member of the Board of Studies of School of Interior Design-CEPT University, member of the academic council of MIT School of Design, Pune and College of Architecture-Navarachana University- Vadodara. He is also a chairman of ad hoc board of studies of design of Pune University.
He has traveled widely around the world and lectured at various design forums and educational institutes. He has also been invited on various national and international competitions and awards as a member of the jury.
In the past he has been first Indian president of International Federation of Interior Architects (IFI) – a global apex body of the profession of interior design- during 2007-2009, of which he was earlier the executive board member during 2001-1007, and also been executive board member of international design alliance (2007-2009), President of Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID)- (2004-2006). Currently he is an invited member of India Design Council and the President of Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation.
Mahendra chauhan is currently heading the watch design team for brand Titan.He is a Product Designer from NID Ahmedabad and architect from NIT Raipur. He has been working fror more than 14 years designing consumer durable and life style products. His work has been produced in many countries and he has won many presigious national and international award in product design. More recently he has been awarded red dot design award for designing world's slimmest watch for Titan 'edge'.
His works have been published in leading international books and design websites.His work is displayed at red dot design museum in essen and singapore.He had also won rado design excellence award and design boom award for innovative product concepts.Apart from designing lifestyle products, he has designed interiors, residences and bicycles for BSA and hercules brand.He also talk at the CII Design Summit, and other conferences & Seminars on Design Thinking.
Mahendra is playing a very strategic role in defining Titan'S watch design stratgey by leading and managing complete watch portfolio of brand Titan, nebula, raga, Zoop and xylys.He spearheads the team with a very positive attitude and belives that design diffrention can only happen if we understand the consumers. He Belives, ''design begins with sensitivity , curiosity and passion. To excel in any field one needs to be passionate about it; sensitive to the end users and curious about the new things''.
